Morning:
1/ If I'm home, the morning usually starts by making Kodiak Maple and Brown Sugar Oatmeal for my stepson before he goes to school. He absolutely loves it, and we feel good knowing he had 12 grams of protein and whole grains to start the day. It's also super quick to make, so we can maximize sleep and reduce stress with the morning routine.
2/ I often blend together a quick smoothie that I can drink on my way to practice. If I have in the fridge, I like to throw in a handful of Willo Savanna or Baby Kale for a sneaky serving of greens.
3/ I decided that 2022 would be the year I improve my Spanish speaking abilities. My husband is fluent in Spanish and currently playing in Mexico, my coach is Spanish, and many of the students at the Sloane Stephens Foundation speak Spanish at home. It's time I lock in before I feel left out! I'm currently on a 31 day Duolingo streak and complete my language exercises each day before I start my tennis training.
Afternoon:
4/ Nothing is more refreshing than an ice-cold Lemon Perfect after a tough practice in the sun. My fridge is stocked with the Just Lemon flavor and the beverage helps me replenish my electrolytes while not adding to my daily sugar intake. I love the product so much that I recently came on as an investor and ambassador.
5/ By the time the afternoon arrives, I've likely already had at least 1 fitness session and 1 on-court practice, so my energy levels start to dip. I turn to Quantum Energy Squares for a boost of smooth, clean energy, complex carbs, and healthy fats. My go-to flavor is Coconut Almond Chocolate Chip.
6/ Late afternoon are for working on my various projects - I'm working on a new business, I'm managing my investments, and I'm checking in on operations at the Sloane Stephens Foundation. The Slack app on my phone is a lifesaver - I have all the information and coordination I need at my fingertips no matter where I am in the world.
Night:
7/ I wear a WHOOP band every day and I look at my daily strain data at night to help me make a sleep and practice plan for the next day. Tennis is a global sport and I'm always managing time zones and new surroundings, so having real-time data is so beneficial for training, recovery, and my overall health.
8/ Hyperice Normatec 3 Boots are a critical part of my recovery and self-care rituals. I travel with these boots and wear them every night to help recover and prepare for the next day. Wearing the boots also forces me to sit still for the length of the treatment, so I usually double up on the self-care by going through a guided meditation on their Core device or applying Icy Hot PRO.
9/ Self-care is my greatest non-tennis passion. I could talk forever about the links between self-care and mental health, so know that establishing these rituals and moments for yourself is critical. I'm loving the Fresh Black Tea Firming Overnight Mask for maximum moisturizing during this transition in seasons.
